What we do
We gift new and pre-loved books for babies and young children in Greenwich and Bexley, making sure they reach the families who need them most.
We collect, check and sort donated books, then re-distribute them via local food and baby banks. We also create gift bags of new books, designed with care to spark excitement about reading together.
Above all, we want every child to have the chance to enjoy and learn from books.

Pre-loved books
We have a drop box at the Greenwich Centre library where you can donate new or pre-loved books (for babies and children under five years old). Just ask at reception and a member of staff will show you where the box is. Please make sure any donations are in good condition. We don’t re-gift badly ripped or damaged books, used sticker books or books for adults.
If you have lots of books to donate or would like to organise a book collection through your child’s nursery, school or business, please do contact us and we can arrange to pick them up. Thank you!
Gift bags
We love making our popular gift bags! We started in December 2021, using new book donations to put together 30 Christmas gift bags for Bexley food bank. This year we’ve put together:
- 20 Summer activity gift bags for Greenwich food bank
- 12 Easter-themed gift bags for local baby bank MammaKind
- 25 Peter Rabbit-themed gift bags for Greenwich food bank (to celebrate the 25th anniversary of World Book Day)
We want to make so many more of these to reach as many families as possible. We’re a new organisation but plan to scale up our operations in the coming months.
